I primarily repair wood — filling scratches, gaps and dents, sanding, and woodgraining to match the existing surface, then sealing with a custom-mixed polyurethane to blend with the surrounding sheen. I also touch-up murals, stone, and various wall finishes including Venetian plaster and Marmorino.

While sometimes this work can be considered true restoration, more often than not it is actually a form of trompe l’oeil. I use carefully chosen, long-lasting materials to fix and blend the stain, scratch, dent or chip into the surrounding surface. When I am finished, the touch-up is often not discernible to the naked eye.
